Bio - President Elect

Kristy Turns is a graduate of Weatherford High School where she was on the drill team for 4 years and the head captain for 2. She was a Kilgore College Rangerette where she traveled to Dublin, Ireland for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and performed at the Inauguration in Washington, D.C. for George Bush. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Kinesiology. She has directed in Mineral Wells, Pearland, and is the current director of the Award Winning Poteet Varsity Belles and Junior Varsity Belles in Mesquite. She was selected as one of the DTDA Top Ten Directors in 2007. She has been a Showtime International staff member for 9 years as an adjudicator, teacher, and choreographer. She is a member of TDEA, DTDA, MEA and TAPHERD. She has served on the board as 2nd Vice President and she is currently the President Elect.
