She began teaching dance at Kendyl’s Dance Academy in Bedford. After graduating college, she was hired to teach Texas History at Carroll Junior High School in Southlake, Texas. She resigned in the spring of 2003 to stay home with her first son, Landry. After giving birth to her second son, Connor, Mrs. Parlin returned to teaching and directing at Martin High School. The school year 2007-2008 was her third year at Martin, and her 8th year of teaching.
Brooke has been an active member of Texas Dance Educators Association and Dance/Drill Team Directors of America since 1999. She is a member of Connect Church. She resides in Arlington with her husband and two sons.
